Why Stars?
The original vision for this ministry came at a prayer meeting on August 20, 1999 at a home of a friend in Walkersville Maryland. I saw an arm which I determined to be the Lord’s arm throw stars across the sky – and knew that each star had a name. I found the scripture to go along with this vision
from
Isaiah 40:26:
"Lift up your eyes and look to the heavens:
Who created all these?
He who brings out the starry host one by one
and calls forth each of them by name.
Because of his great power and mighty strength,
not one of them is missing." (NIV)
The line “not one is missing” stayed with me for a while.
A star is not a star just by itself – they interact with each other, even making up constellations. By connecting the stars, we get a picture. This concept started to play out in my real life
Two weeks later after I had the vision. I was in a Barnes and Noble and found a book by Robert E Kelley called “How to be a Star at Work”. Intrigued, I bought the book and read it cover to cover several times. Fast forward to the year 2013 when I got a job with my current employer. I had only been there a few months and there was an annual breakfast where they gave an award for someone in the agency for excelling in their department at their job. I received the award, a plaque, a picture with the CEO and …. a star on my badge.
There were numerous other “signs” about stars and then through a dream on December 12, 2020 “Star Birth ministries” was born.
Another fact about stars is that scientists have identified NCG 281 which is an emission nebula as the place where stars are birthed in the article below. Those numbers appeared in the dream I had on December 12.

How does this apply to humans?
This is a good question. The fact that the scripture points out that “each one was called by name” refers to identity. We all have different circumstances of our birth, the family we grew up in, where we lived or are living, what has been present or absent in our lives. Our journey is to find out “who we are” and “how are we made.” It is a journey and sometimes it involves cutting away the things that really are not “us” to find out who our real authentic self is.
A star shines light, and also the way we use “star” is to denote someone who excels at what he or she does.
I attest that we are also in tandem asking the question – who is God? Or maybe even Is there a God? If we start to search the scriptures we find that God desires to have a relationship with us. Maybe we know this, but then grew up in a system, family or church which may have affected how we view God.
Through this ministry I am hoping that others will be encouraged to begin to connect the dots of their own life to be able to see the bigger picture and what environment they need to be in to grow and thrive.
What I envision is for it to be a place or resource – to find out the many ways God can speak to us. There will also be resources for healing as we need that to walk in the freedom of who we were created to be.
If this appeals to you, I invite you to join me on your journey.
