For such a time as this

In the book of Esther, in chapter 4, Esther is in a unique position to be able to save her people. In verse 14, she is challenged by Mordecai who states “who knows if you have not been born for such a time as this?“ Esther understands that she has a choice to make. If she goes to the King without him first requesting an audience with her, she faces certain death. But if she does nothing because of the decree that was made, she will face death along with her people. So in verse 16, she states “if I perish, I perish“ Esther let’s go of her right to a comfortable life because she feels compelled and recognizesthat she indeed was born for such a time is this. What are some areas in your life where you begin to recognize that perhaps you also are in a situation where you could make an impact. Are you willing to take the risk? It is something to ponder.
